HELMEPA’s first maritime seminars for 2019
HELMEPA, operating as a certified Maritime Training Center, has already provided to its Members one Seminar of each of the 6 categories of the Voluntary Refresher Training Program of 2019, attended by 61 officers and shore-based staff of 21 Companies as well as 3 Hellenic Navy officers.
The result confirmed the expectations of the Program developers, since the majority of the participants evaluated the quality and usefulness of the Seminars as “very good” or “excellent”. And even more so, because 7 out of 10 participants stated that their knowledge on the issues presented was significantly enriched after the Seminar.
The Program continues today with the 2-day Seminar “Enhancing Safety through Effective Management of Operational Risks and People On Board”, followed by the other categories of Seminars:
- Marine Environmental Awareness (5-6 March)
- Encountering Heavy Seas – Parametric Rolling and Emergency Preparedness – Incident Case Studies (13 March)
- Learning from PSC Inspections: Common Deficiencies and their Prevention (19-20 March)
- Reducing Shipping’s Environmental Footprint: Today’s and Tomorrow’s Hot Issues (2-3 April)
