ISO 9001:2015

On completion of one year-long preparation, Germanischer Lloyd certified the Maritime Sector of HELMEPA on 4 February 2008 as a Maritime Training Center in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard. A Quality Management System was established and the Maritime Sector continued its operation in accordance with it.

Three years later, on 26 January 2011, the Quality Management System was extended so as to include the whole operation of HELMEPA’s Secretariat. On completion of the relevant procedures, Germanischer Lloyd certified the operation of the Secretariat as a “Maritime Training Center for Pollution Prevention, Safety at Sea and Environmental Awareness” according to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard.

On 26 June 2018, DNV GL certified HELMEPA with the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard, to operate as “Maritime Training Center for Pollution Prevention, Safety at Sea and Environmental Awareness“.
